Gorgeous 2013 black TB mare that is 17 hands. Husbands can enjoy her quiet, safe demeanor. Even for those that don't feel comfortable on or around a horse. If he is a hunter I see no reason why he could not pack and/or hunt off this mare. She's built right and has good bone structure. Your children can enjoy taking lessons on her, or just sit back and enjoy her on the trail. You mom's can have a blast with this sweet mare as you trail ride on this girl, or enjoy some arena time. If you are looking for a speed demon, this mare is not for you. She is wonderful in a stall or on pasture. She gets along great with other horses. She is not a troublemaker. She loads in any trailer, and hauls like a dream. She does not get spooky at new places. She is GREAT on the trails. She will lead or follow. Her owner was riding her several days per week on the beach. When not on the beach, her owners were either pushing cows on this big girl, or the husband was riding her on a leisurely afternoon trail ride. She is great with old and young dogs near her. She even is accepting of some of my chickens that enter her pasture during the day scrounging for some bugs to eat. The owner has had some pretty big life changes in the last 12 months. That is why this mare is available. Not only did they pack up and move to another County, here in Northern California, they brought an absolutely adorable little girl into the world. As a result, they are finding out how much a young baby controls your life, leaving her owner with limited time to ride several horses. The tough decision was made to offer this lovely mare, because she is marketable, and does not have a bunch of problems or baggage. Her owner has always been into barrel racing, and running barrels is just not up this mare's alley. She'd rather keep things slow and mellow. She does not move a muscle when a rider is mounting from the mounting block. Another great thing about this mare is you don't need to lunge her before riding. Whether it is a day, a week our a month, she is the same horse every time. She had 7 months with no riding during the move and after her owner had her baby. This big girl acted like she had not taken a day off. This sweet mare has had one foal A big, gorgeous bay gelding. If you are looking for a broodmare or recip mare, this mare would be lovely in that role as well. She has the creme of the crop when bloodlines are concerned. She has such greats as Northern Dancer and Unbridled in her pedigree. Her registered TB name is "Can't Afford It". She is located in South Lake County. One hour north of both Napa and Santa Rosa. Take the drive and come spend some time with her. You can't help but fall in love with her. Honestly, I told her owner if the mare was 14 hands, I'd buy her in a heartbeat. I am only 5'0" tall and have had several knee replacements. This is the exact kind of mare that would be perfect for me, as she is SAFE and is not intimidating at all. Great confidence builder, but I just can't find a way to get on her, besides a big step ladder.
