We are leasing Jess, a 9-year-old, 14.2-hand paint gelding with a calm demeanor and extensive trail experience. If you’re an intermediate or advanced rider looking for a steady and reliable partner to enjoy the outdoors, Jess could be the perfect match.

-Location: Westwind Community Barn, Los Altos Hills, CA (with access to Byrne Preserve and LAH trail system)

-Lease Type: Half lease (3 rides / week)

- Experience Required: Intermediate to advanced rider

About Jess

Jess truly shines on the trail. He’s experienced in a variety of settings, from exploring state parks to tackling overnight camping trips and large group rides. He’s surefooted, steady, and handles obstacles like creeks, logs, and uneven terrain with ease. He's calm (temperament of a 2) and easy to be around.

Training and Skills

While trail riding is his specialty, Jess has a solid foundation of training that makes him versatile and enjoyable to ride:

- Smooth and comfortable walk, trot, and lope.

- Trained to pick up both leads, side pass, and back up.

- Ridden both English and Western, with a start over low jumps.

Jess is also quiet and well-behaved for grooming and care, including clipping, bathing, and farrier work.
