Historic Chief Joseph Trail Ride

The Appaloosa Horse Club has sponsored the historic Chief Joseph Trail Ride since 1965. It goes through 4 states and crosses 1300 miles.  We ride 100 miles each year, as it is a progressive ride, taking 13 years to complete the ride. You may join in at anytime. In the past it has only allowed registered Appaloosa horses to go on the ride, but since Covid, our numbers have reduced and so now we are offering a great opportunity for all Equestrians to come join this historic event. We have opened the ride to 30 non Appaloosas . PS: All equines are welcome, including mules. However, due to the size limitations of our horse ambulance, we accept all breeds except draft horses and draft crosses.
