Small dressage/event horse for partial lease

Offering a partial lease (2-4 days/week) on an 11 year-old, 14.1-hand Haflinger. Don't let his adorable pony looks fool you -- Niko is a very sensitive and athletic ride with a soft mouth and smooth gaits. Competing in eventing at Advanced Beginner level and schooling 2nd level dressage. In the ribbons at Woodside in Spring 2024 and Fall 2023.  Not a beginner horse or a child's pony -- he needs an experienced rider. Perfect for a small adult or a teen with a cool head, soft hands and a secure seat. Easy to catch, affectionate and personable. For a small horse, he fills up your leg. (Rider in pictures is 5'3".) He's also a blast on the trails -- he'll go when you ask, and then come right back to you. Rides well in company or alone.

Will need to stay at his current home northeast of Petaluma. Property has trails and fabulous views, two outdoor sand arenas, jumps, and round pen. Friendly and unpretentious barn with top-notch instruction available in classical dressage, jumping, working equitation, and more. (Lessor will need to take weekly lessons.) Showing is possible. Terms and schedule are negotiable for the right rider. I just don't have time to ride him as much as he needs, especially this spring. Text or email for more info.
