How To Build A Great Relationship With Your Horse, featuring Cavalia's Benjamin Aillaud
In this video, Kathryn Lauritzen of Padma Video, creator of BAEN's Horse Lover's 2 Minute How-To video series, conducts a unique one-on-one interview with Benjamin Aillaud, Equestrian Director and Choreographer of the touring equestrian show Cavalia, following the preview of Cavalia's 2012 show in San Jose, CA. After watching these amazing horses, we wanted to ask Benjamin how he trains a horse to perform so freely and willingly. As you will see, Benjamin emphasizes relationship rather than training as the key to success. His philosophy of horse training is summed up in his introductory statement: "The idea is to share a life with horses, and to find a way to make your communication with them the best possible." Training success becomes possible when we love, understand and respect the horse. Cavalia's healthy, relaxed horses exemplify this philosophy, and best of all, it's something we can all aspire to.
